Professional background.
Once upon a time, I was so embarrassed about my resume. It was 4 pages long before I’d even hit 25.
Here are some things I’ve done:
Retail - Spotlight, Rockmans, Pharmacy Assistant
Administration - Legal Secretary, Project Officer, Building Coordinator, Property Manager / Maintenance Manager, Admin & Support Officer.
Industries: Insurance / Building Restoration, Facilities Maintenance, Family Law, Residential Tenancy (NSW), Trades.
BUT the best one was…
I owned a cookie company for two years. “ChunkyBoiz Cookie Co” made some waves during Covid, and I learnt A LOT about owning a small business.
You can read about all that here, it’s legit I swear… see here too.
I then moved into Disability Support Work, and here we are today!
What formal education have I done?
CHC33015 - Certificate III Individual Support
CHC43515 - Certificate IV Mental Health Peer Work
Standard Mental Health First Aid Certificate
First Aid Certifications (HLTAID001, 002 & 003)
HLTINF001 - Comply with Infection Prevention & Control Policies / Procedures
NDIS Orientation Modules - Quality, Safety & You / Supporting Safe & Enjoyable Meals / Supporting Effective Communication / New Worker Module
CURRENTLY STUDYING

While it’s so important to have formal training, I am also a firm believer that lived experience is so important. That’s why I believe, combining my own experiences and certifications, I’m doing alright.
