PLEASE NOTE - I DO NOT CURRENTLY HAVE CAPACITY FOR ONGOING SUPPORT.

Support Coordination - Level 2

What is Support Coordination?

If you consult NDIS, they will tell you that Support Coordination is a Capacity Building Support that helps you to understand and use your NDIS funding to pursue your goals. In 2023, NDIS released some recommendations that may end up changing what the Support Coordinator role looks like, but for now, that’s in a nutshell.
You can read more about their description here.

BUT,
If you ask me - I’m basically your Project Manager for your NDIS plan and funding. I help you connect with providers and to ensure they are a fit - I check for the red flags and I’ll happily dismiss someone in real time if you are uncomfortable.

I can also help link in with providers and services that make things so much easier for you. This might be Occupational Therapists, Physiotherapists/Exercise Physiotherapists, Psychologists, Support Workers. This will depend on your plan.

I also connect with those existing supports to help them navigate your NDIS plan as well.
I liaise with Supports and Providers to ensure you are supported in the best way possible - ensuring a holistic and collaborative approach.
I help you to use your funding in compliant ways, but also some ways that are outside of the box and within NDIS Guidelines that you may not have considered before.

I also help you monitor your budget and provide guidance to ensure it’s used effectively.

I can attend Planning / Review Meetings with NDIS with you (yes, even via Teams!), I can fight for you and the supports you need, I can be your voice if you can’t find yours.
I provide reports / supporting information for reviews and as required (within my scope!) and I help collaborate supporting documentation from your providers as required, for things such as Plan Reassessments / Plan Variations.

Currently, my main area of expertise is focused on Neurodivergent Humans (adults and littles) and those living with Psychosocial Disability.

I am also in the process of formalising my certifications to soon offer Psychosocial Recovery Coaching - which you can read about here.

What makes me different, though?

Look, probably not a lot. But the things I have found that help me connect with the people that I work with, that I see as effective in terms of smashing some goals are:

  • I offer an approach guided by my own lived-experience. I previously worked as a Support Worker with Neurodivergent Humans & those living with Psychosocial Disability and Mental Health. But I also have my own collection of acronyms that I have learnt over my 3 decades of life. You can read more about all of that here.

  • I have boundaries, but I also treat you like a human while respecting yours.
Boundaries are healthy and so very necessary, but I hate pretending to be a robot. That is not me - I am expressive, I’m relatable and I’d consider myself a safe space. I never want you to feel like you need to hesitate before contacting me - ever. No question or request is too much, and if it’s beyond my scope I will explain that, and I’ll help you find an alternative.

  • Applicable to some, not others - but I’m a mother. I have one (so far confirmed) little with Autism. Learning his brain while learning my brain has been so hard at times, but so dang beautiful. But that also means I understand - if you are also a parent who’s held their head in their hands after screaming because we have ZERO emotional regulation skills at the best of times… I see you.

These are just a few points I can make, but if you’d like to learn more, pop over and complete this form and I’ll be in touch, or book in for a Meet & Greet here.

PLEASE NOTE: I CAN ONLY SUPPORT PLAN OR SELF MANAGED PARTICIPANTS. I AM UNABLE TO SUPPORT ANY AGENCY MANAGED PARTICIPANTS AS AN UNREGISTERED PROVIDER.
